Pistachio is on my list of favorite eco-friendly stores to visit next time I’m in Toronto, Canada. They are predominantly a paper shop and have an amazing collection of environmentally sensitive custom paper products. Pistachio has two designers on staff that work with customers to create {baby} announcements, {birthday} invitations and custom albums which fits in with your own personal website. Everything is printed with soy inks or low VOC vegetable dyes and is processed on chl
orine-free post-consumer recycled papers.
e for boring, ugly stuff!! That’s not what eco-friendly is about!’. Pistachio embraces the idea that being environmentally caring doesn’t mean denying, abandoning or refusing the things we love, but rather designing, developing and using products in more informed, eco-friendly ways.
Pistachio sent me a box full of goodies to review for my readers!
We tried a couple bath products made by Little Twig. Little Twig’s products are made with organic in
gredients, are pH balanced for sensitive skin, paraben-free, sulfate-free, non irritating, and have no artificial colors or synthetic fragrances. Exaclty the type of products you would want to use on your babies! They smelled divine and left Aidan’s skin soft and smooth and irritation-free. Usually when we try something new he has some sort of reaction {dry skin patches, etc.}. It’s always nice to come across gentle products like Little Twig. Their colorful labels kept Aidan entertained while washing his hair in the tub, too!
0oz wide neck baby bottle. I love the look of this bottle with it’s cute little face on the front and the bright colors. It’s also BPA free..using a bottle or sippy that’s not BPA isn’t an option for us. I loved this bottle because it was easy to clean, comfy for Aidan to hold and doesn’t look like a traditional baby bottle! My only concern about this bottle was the amount of bubbles that get trapped inside. The nipple would collapse since there is no venting system but apparently you have to loosen the neck a bit..however this only allowed more air in. Luckily Aidan is older so he burps on his own. Personally I would wait before introducing this sort of bottle until the baby is a bit older when gas fussiness isn’t quite as big an issue.- Visit Pistachio’s environmental page and tell me what you learned about how Pistachio products are making a difference.
