To be completely honest, I’m usually running for a sweater when the purolator guy comes to my door {like this morning!} so I don’t show through the top I’m wearing while lounging around the house braless! I haven’t been lucky enough to find “that” bra. My mom has and she’s worn the same brand and style for years with no complaints. I’ve had nothing but problems with bras including nursing bras but when I was introduced to Bravado a little while back, I was an immediate fan and finally understood what a proper bra is supposed to do and feel like! All improper sizing problems aside there are still comfort issues related to poor design, cheap fabrics, etc. I’ve found that when it comes to nursing bras, you definitely get what you pay for since the use and abuse that a nursing bra goes through is nothing like our regular bras – you’re constantly clasping, unclasping, washing, drying, putting on, taking off and all this leaves a nursing bra pretty vulnerable and open to problems. This is exactly why you need high quality materials AND designs to keep your bras performing, feeling and looking amazing.
I featured Bravado on Natural Mommie back at the end of August and they’re back again with a brand new style called The Allure Underwire Nursing Bra that was just released that has breastfeeding mommies oooohing and ahhhhing! Finally, we’re seeing gorgeous, feminine lingerie that is still comfortable and functional. Now before you shake your head at the idea of an underwire, I’ll let you know that the Allure Underwire Nursing Bra was designed alongside lactation consultants and the focus for this bra wasn’t just to make it pretty. It’s actually designed with breast health in mind and features a smooth cup made of molded spacer fabric {for breathability and stretch}, a unique wire channel {for support and optimal breast health} and a double cup feature to expand and contract with your changing shape over the months. This bra is not recommended for use right off the hop. It’s better suited for you once your breastfeeding routine has been well established at around 6-8 weeks post partum and it’s not for sleeping in. Follow these guidelines and it is possible to wear an underwire while nursing to get the support you need. The Allure bra is available in black and ivory AND is sizes 34B/C up to 38F/G and there are matching panties to complete your look.
