A few months ago when my toddler was grabbing for everything he could get his hands on in the shampoo aisle I had a moment of weakness {that was brought on by a desperate attempt to keep him from screeching} and bought a bottle of orange-mango something or other kid’s shampoo. He loved the colors and pictures on the bottle and couldn’t wait to get in the tub with it. The day after we used it Aidan had a dry, itchy, irritated scalp. It’s no wonder…it was jampacked with all sorts of badness that wasn’t even disclosed on the ingredients list! So, that promptly went in the garbage and I had an “ugh, I know better than that” moment…moved on and happily received my Original Sprout package in the mail a few days later.
We had a chance to review Natural Shampoo, Miracle Detangler and Scrumptious Baby Cream. Knowing that Inga’s little girl had thick hair I knew the Natural Shampoo would be great for Aidan’s thick head of hair! And it was. After a few days of use, his dry scalp was healed and looked healthy again. I was trying to figure out how I could test the Miracle Detangler since Aidan’s hair is shorter but since it’s been growing out, he wakes up with bedhead in the mornings and after naps. As suggested on the site, the Miracle Detangler solves bedhead in a hurry, so this is a great product for little girls with long hair AND for boys with short hair! The 12oz professional size comes with a spray zozzel making it quick and easy to tame Aidan’s hair.
Unfortunately for Aidan, he has my sensitive skin and anything from detergents to rough fabrics to too many swims at the pool leave him with scaly, dry patches of eczema. The Scrumptious Baby Cream is really emollient but somehow non-greasy. It’s a part of the Eczema kit and it’s no wonder! The organic ingredients work to soothe and heal irritated skin without stinging or redness. Even my hubby put the Scrumptious Baby Cream to use on his rough hands that had a few cracks and it immediately made them feel like velvet. I love the scent of Scrumptious..it’s a very light fresh scent that isn’t your typical “baby scented” sort of smell. And it doesn’t have that yucky fragrance-free scent that many so-called fragrance free products have.
It seems that anyone who tries Original Sprout is automatically hooked…including me! This line is definitely on my list of favorites!!
