Doesn’t matter if you’re a preggy mommie, a first time mommie or a second, third, or fourth time mommie…if you’re an eco-lovin’ mommie you’re going to LOVE barley & birch.  This company is a down to earth, genuinely kind brand with REAL people behind it that donates a whopping 15% of their profits to carbon reducing initiatives! They’re also a member of 1% for the planet  and are working extremely hard for the future of our babies.

Since 2009 barley & birch has maintained the highest standards in the industry when it comes to their production of their clothing items from start to finish and from head to toe. Everything is made in the USA and sourced locally. Only organic cotton is used as well as water based inks and natural pigments.

Aidan has been wearing his barley & birch tee and beanie for about 4 months now and it’s holding up like a champ. A definite “hand-me-down” for his little brother; this tee is quality. It keeps getting softer with every wash {which with a toddler, you know is a LOT of washes} and it’s kept his form. No cheap fabrics here that shrink up and turn boxy. And the dye/pigments seem to be a part of the shirt rather than just sit ON the shirt, therefore the print looks the same as the day we received it and it continues to feel soft and comfy, not cracked and hard. The beanie is a one size fits all which is great because Ethan my baby can wear the hat too! It’s lightweight organic cotton so it keep his little melon cool in the summer sun and works well as an added layer for when it’s chilly in the evenings and we’re out for  a walk.

About Amanda

I'm Amanda. I started Natural Mommie in 2009 and have been turning mommies from eco-weak to eco-chic ever since! Having an intense addiction to sparkly pink strawberry flavored lipgloss and never claiming to be perfectly green I vowed to not give up my hip mama self once I became a mom and wanted to bring a little more organic into my life. My closet still isn’t full of organic cotton and bamboo, but it’s getting there!
