I’m excited to bring you a product by Roundhouse design collaborative called the Oh Plah! Oh Plah! {french for here you go!} is a  bracelet for mom to wear and a toy for baby to play with or use for teething. The Oh Plah! is made of medical grade thermoplastic that is non-toxic, bacteria resistant, and free of lead, paints, BPA, phthalates, PVC and latex. It’s pretty fashionable too!

The idea behind Oh Plah! is to give mommies a stylish wrist accessory that won’t break – in fact the Oh Plah! bends, twists, rolls and can even withstand being chomped down on! And it was also designed to keep babies away from the germy items we usually reach for to stop our baby from having a meltdown when we’re out – like our keys, a cell phone, our wallet…we’ve all been there.

The Oh Plah! is incredibly environmentally friendly – so much in fact that the company takes it one HUGE step further and will actually pay to have the cuff shipped back to them {when you’re through with it} to be recycled into other new products. Amazing!

I had the chance to review a few different colors and when my package arrived, the first thing I noticed was the reversible label on a chic, modern little box. The product label can be reversed and it turns into a pretty wrapped up package ready to give! Once I got into the package and had a chance to test out the Oh Plah! it was easy to see why babies love them. They’re super bendy and pliable have bright hues.  Mommies love them because they will fit just about any wrist since they stretch.  I’m so happy to add the Oh Plah! to our collection of non-toxic toys/teethers and extra happy to report that it’s $19.99. {Oh, I also don’t have to worry about my toddler throwing this teether at my little Ethan’s head, like I would other non-toxic  wooden teethers. Woot!}

I'm Amanda. I started Natural Mommie in 2009 and have been turning mommies from eco-weak to eco-chic ever since! Having an intense addiction to sparkly pink strawberry flavored lipgloss and never claiming to be perfectly green I vowed to not give up my hip mama self once I became a mom and wanted to bring a little more organic into my life. My closet still isn’t full of organic cotton and bamboo, but it’s getting there!

    So I checked out the website, but unfortunately they only have some of the colors available (in the picture above that you posted). Do you know when those colors will come available as I would love to get the red/maroon one.

      I can see all the colors . The red/maroon is the color “Whimsy” I believe, just looks different in the above pic. It appears to be available to me.

    Julie I’ll have to check for you. In some pics I’ve seen online the whimsy looks more maroon colored, but on the site it looks bright purple. Let me check and get back to you.

  6. Julie A. says:

    Thanks Amanda!! Yes, I agree that the Whimsy online looks a lot like the color purple to me not maroon, so let me know if you find anything out.

    Hey Amanda~ Any word yet on the colors? Just checking in :)
