littletikeslogo little tikes: ride on spray & rescue fire truck toy {review & giveaway}

Little Tikes is back on Natural Mommie with one of the best little ride on toys we’ve had in our house in a long time! The Spray & Rescue Fire Truck is one of Aidan’s favorite toys especially since he has a bright red fireman hat to match while he’s playing in his truck! The Spray & Rescue is complete with a pressurized water tank that really squirts water {and far too!!} The water tank is removable which is perfect – when he doesn’t want to play with the entire truck, he can remove the water tank, cart it around to the back yard to bring to the pool to play with. Now, since the water tank is removable, if your children are playing rough with the truck, the tank will fall off. My husband took care of that issue by putting a piece of velcro on the truck and the water tank to keep it from falling off. This is something that I think Little Tikes should definitely consider including with the toy so all parents have the option to add it if they wish.

The other nice aspect about the removable tank is that when the tank is off, it creates an extra seat for another little one to sit on! When my girlfriend was here visiting, our toddlers were taking turns driving and sitting in the back {and by taking turns I mean screaming at each other,”MY TURN!! I DO IT!!!”, of course}  but it was a fun toy for them to fight over and durable enough that they could rumble and tumble on it.

Speaking of durability, I like that this truck is indoors/outdoors and I don’t have to worry about it weathering too much if it’s left out in the sun and rain. It’ll be fun outside for the summer, then an indoor playroom toy in the winter {minus the spray pump!} The Little Tikes ride on cars & trucks seem to last forever and I’m happy we’ll be able to pass this on once our boys outgrow it.

The Spray & Rescue is for ages 1.5-5 years {shhsh, I know Ethan is only 6 months old in this pic, but he was having fun!} and is $69.99.

About Amanda

I'm Amanda. I started Natural Mommie in 2009 and have been turning mommies from eco-weak to eco-chic ever since! Having an intense addiction to sparkly pink strawberry flavored lipgloss and never claiming to be perfectly green I vowed to not give up my hip mama self once I became a mom and wanted to bring a little more organic into my life. My closet still isn’t full of organic cotton and bamboo, but it’s getting there!

    As a first-time grandma, it’s hard to not want to get everything for my new grandson…that being said, I would love to give Orion the Rocking Horse-Primary Blue first; then, I could choose a different toy/activity for each of his growth stages.

    I signed up for the Little Tikes newsletter. Seems odd that the field for indicating the birth year of the child does not include 2010!
