momagenda: desktop day planner $43 {review & giveaway}

A new year, new toddler activities, a new baby {well, new since last year haha} brings all sorts of new chaos to our lives. I’m definitely a “list” person and need to see all the chaos laid out on paper. With everything being electronic now many people swear by their laptop or desktop calendars or use their blackberry or iphone schedulers to keep track of everything. But I can’t. I talked about this last year when I reviewed the momAgenda here…I just can’t get used to entering something on my blackberry or laptop.My blackberry is a lifesaver for emails on the go and it’s constantly going off with twitter and facebook notifications, but if my deadlines and appointments were going off on it too, they’d get lost in the mix which is why I need my agenda to be out in the open and visible at a glance. If it’s not in my diaper bag when I’m on the go, it’s laid out flat on the kitchen counter so there’s no question about what’s going on for the day.

Nina Restieri created this beautiful collection of agendas made specifically for moms to help us all keep our heads on straight. This year I reviewed the Home Office Edition momAgenda which makes perfect sense for my life as a work at home mom. When I opened up the package, I actually felt tingles!! {any other stationary/paper freaks out there???} It was so pretty, beautifully wrapped, and was begging for my fine tip sharpie pen to fill ‘er up!

The Home Office agenda runs from August 2010 through to August 2011 and features the signature momAgenda layout with space for mom and 4 children. There are monthly and weekly views with convenient monthly tabs, note pages and two pockets – one in the front and one in the back to keep loose papers safe. LOVE this feature.

The amount of writing space that each page contains is HUGE.  The agenda is 9″x11″ so I actually have room for grocery lists {which you can see in my pic below} and all sorts of other notes, numbers, reminders, etc. It’s not just for times and dates…I use my momAgenda for EVERYTHING. Here was my week  last week {and my grocery list}:

And the handy monthly tabs:

Something that I greatly appreciate in my Home Office Edition is that there are pages in the back for websites and passwords. With all the websites I belong to, email accounts, facebook pages, blog sign-in’s and the list goes on and on – I really need a safe place to put them.

As far as looks go, momAgenda is where it’s at. I’m not going to carry around a big bulky black leather planner that screams, “50 year old male executive” I want something spunky, pretty and that feels likes an extension of me since afterall, my agenda is my lifeline!

Check out my fantabulous zebra print planner!! How sassy is this?!?

The Home Office Edition is $32.95 and available in hot pink, turquoise and zebra print like mine above. momAgenda just recently announced their new flat rate shipping for $7.95 on all orders.
