For review, we received the Breville Fountain Juicer {$149.99} and I’ve been itching to tell you all about it! Breville happens to be one of the best-selling juicer brands on the market and it’s not hard to see why!

It’s just plain amazing. Juicing isn’t the most glamorous thing in the world and it can be pretty messy and irritating when you don’t have the proper tools. The Breville Fountain Juicer makes it so incredibly easy that juicing isn’t the least bit daunting to me anymore {trying new recipes is, but that’s a whole other post!} So since I’m a visual learner, I’m going to post a whack of pics for you so you can get an idea of what this juicer is all about.

All the parts spread out. Looks like a lot but it’s really not.

No-nonsense dual-speed juice fountain; higher speed for denser fruits and harder vegetables, lower Speed for leafy vegetables and soft fruits:

The Stainless Steel Micro Mesh Filter Basket with stainless steel cutting blades:

Easily attaches to the body of the juicer by lining up the arrows:

Safety lock arms to keep everything in place:

1 Liter Juice Jug with froth separator:

Grippy feet so the juicer stays put

3” Extra Wide Feed Chute – Processes whole fruits and vegetables without pre-cutting:

And on to the good stuff – what this machine is capable of! I turned this {spinach along with cucumber, apple, melon, lemon and ginger}

into this!

And the little man drank almost the whole thing:

Now, I find when I put the fruit and vegetables through the juicer, the pulp is still pretty wet and I want to get as much out of it as possible {especially the spinach} so I put it through the juicer a second time and get probably 1/2 ounce or so more.

Clean up is simple – just rinse off the parts {use the cleaning brush for the mesh basket} and put them in the top rack of the dishwasher and they come out sparkly:

We’ve been using this juicer for a couple months now and I’ve been enjoying it immensely.  I can’t wait for the new year to kick start a really healthy eating regimen. I know, I know, why not just start now…well, we do get in out green juices but I want to make sure everyone in our family is getting some twice a day. I’m thinking about doing a “juice feast” for a week or so too – I’ll let you know how that goes later on.

If you’ve thought about juicing have the vision of drinking green liquid that tastes like bitter dirt, think again. There are some awesome recipes out there that include all the leafy green goodness but actually taste good. Not just green juice good, but tasty enough that my children drink them! Here’s my go-to green juice recipe give or take a few ingredients…you can play around with it to suit your tastebuds.

If you’re new to juicing start out with the right products. This juicer is pretty affordable at $149.99, doesn’t take forever to get the job done yet isn’t too overpowered that you lose nutrients while juicing. Overall, I’m very pleased with this juicer and I know it would be a great addition to anyone’s kitchen like it is in ours! Looking forward to many years of drinking to our health!

  1. Liking the looks of the Wondermill grain mill. Also not happy with current rice cooker. There’s looks nice.
