You might remember in the fall I reviewed a pair of adorable  hats for Aidan and Ethan by Cute Capes. Cute Capes handmade creations  include a variety of stylish double-lined capes and beautifully crochet and knit hats for newborns, infants and toddlers for every season.

For the winter, work at home mom, Ramona came up with the “snowflake jester hat” {$30} – a heavier weight hat that keeps my boys warm in the coldest weather up North. These hats have no ties under the neck or earflaps, but somehow stays perfectly placed on their heads. Occasionally Ethan will pull his off while driving or once we get inside but never outside. Maybe he knows it’s too cold and -30! The hats have been worn daily for a couple months now and they haven’t lost their shape.  You can wash them on gentle {or handwash} and lay flat to dry for best results.

Aidan and Ethan both wear their hats everytime we leave the house, so naturally I have about a ton of pictures of them wearing them, but here are my favorites – before the parade:

Now, I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that someone comes up to me just about every single time we’re out and about and asks me where I found these hats. A few of my friends have purchased some already and I bought one for my girlfriend’s little girl for her birthday. They’re so adorable and warm!! If you’re a photographer or mommie thinking about getting pro pics done, they’d be perfect for newborn photo shoots since they have great texture and shape.
