Right now especially in Canada since they’re new and pretty amazing, Charlie Banana diapers are all the craze. Why? Simply put? They rock. Previously, cloth diapers for naps were out of the question…Ethan would be wet up to his chest! For us to cloth diaper regularly, cloth has to be almost be easier than disposables, and when you have a hard working diaper like Charlie Banana that holds up for 3-4 hours and with a  low price point like this, disposables aren’t even a question anymore.

Charlie Banana diapers hit the ground running with a huge array of colors and had their system down-pat.  Their system is a 2-in-1 which means you can use a washable insert or a disposable insert. Like this:

Looks easy right? The best part is that it’s actually that easy.  The ease of use combined with colorful outer covers, insanely easy to wash and dry inserts, super soft fabrics {inside and out} and a diaper that will fit your baby, infant and toddler through the years? Completely awesome in my books. Now, I love me some hemp and bamboo inserts but could pass on the 3 hours of drying time. I never thought I’d have a microfiber insert so much thinner that would hold  more than my hemps and bamboos. Horray!

For review I received several Charlie Banana products and have been using them for about a month now, so there have been plenty of washes and dries. I let the covers airdry which only ever takes a couple hours and the inserts go in the dryer. They’re done in less than an hour – none of this 3 hour drying time that I’m used too!

I usually use two reusable inserts for my heavy wetter during nap time and outings and they’re working wonderfully.  Not sure how they hold up for number two’s because Ethan goes potty for poops. With the really well made elastic leg casing and high elasticized back though, I can’t imagine there would be much to worry about.

Charlie Banana diapers are $17.88 {!!} come with 2 inserts and is available in small, medium, large, and one-size. Ethan’s wearing a size large on the smallest snaps and he’s about 23lbs and has massive thighs so I’m happy he has lots of room to grow!

All in all, Charlie Banana makes a fabulous diaper {you’d be hard pressed to find negative reviews on these babies!}, and a brand I will definitely continue to add to our diaper stash. An eco-friendly diaper with options is where it’s at.
