burt’s bees: natural products i’ve adored for years {$150 #giveaway}

Is Burt’s Bees a staple in your house? It has been in ours for a long time. Even before I had children there’s always been Burt’s Bees something gracing the shelves of my bathroom cupboard and shower walls. I’ve been using Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash since the day we brought Aidan home from the hospital and now at 3 years old, every time he’s out of the tub {er..shower, now that he’s a big boy and showers by himself!}, without a second thought I naturally inhale the scent of his hair and it takes me back to teeny tiny toes and baby coos every single time. Ethan still has baby fine hair and occasionally he’ll let me snuggle my nose in his hair for a few minutes in the evening and it never gets old. I pray that Burt’s Bees never changes their Baby Bee scent because I’ll likely spiral into a deep depression if I can’t have that baby smell lingering in my halls after tubbie time for years to come!!

One bottle is around $9.99 here and lasts us quite a while {assuming Aidan hasn’t dumped it into the tub} for both boys to use daily. The moisturizer smells baby sweet and keeps Ethan’s skin super soft. Both my boys get really dry cheeks, and one or two days of the Baby Bee Original Lotion and they’re super soft again. The new formula is thick, creamy and fast absorbing. There is now a fragrance-free option too.

I haven’t tried the Diaper Ointment yet because Aidan is sensitive to zinc oxide and I don’t want to chance a reaction with Ethan. I’ve heard nothing but great things about it though, likely from all the soothing ingredients such as chamomile, sweet almond oil and beeswax.

For myself, I’m loving the new Richly Replenishing Cocoa & Cupuacu Butters Body Lotion. It’s full of cocoa butter goodness, is nicely moisturizing on my alligator skin, and smells really cocoa-y {don’t buy if you don’t like the chocolatey scent of cocoa!} with a little bit of vanilla. It’s 99% natural and packed with sunflower and olive oil to keep your skin supple for 24 hours. My alligator legs can confirm this is true.

Half of the Burt’s Bees line is 100% natural with the rest being 99% natural. The entire line is all free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and petrochemicals. Just what we like to hear.
