how to: make your own lip exfoliator

And for a super moisturizing DIY body scrub, just skip the honey and keep a big jar of brown (or white) sugar/olive oil mix in your shower.  Your skin will be happy, moisturized and gah-geously glowing without having to take an extra 5 minutes to slather on lotion afterwards.

About Amanda

Amanda Robinson is the eco-chic, green living, fitness loving mom behind Natural Mommie. Since early 2009, Amanda has been the source for moms to learn how to bring more balanced green beauty, eco-friendly, sustainable, organic products into their lives without being too “crunchy” or “granola”. Amanda is passionate about wellness and inspiring moms to make more eco-friendly and healthy choices without having to give up their hip mama selves and trade in their stilettos for Birkenstocks. She can often be found sipping green tea, behind her camera, diy’ing, instagramming, in the middle of a workout, chasing her two little boys around her farm or with her nose in an ingredients list in efforts to help other moms become more aware of what is really in the products they buy.

  1. Great, I’m going to try to make this!

  2. This is super easy and really works well. My son has the brightest red chapped lips right now due to the weather change and I am making him use this scrub. So I just mixed it up n did it with him, my lips feel like silk. And he didn’t hate the taste.

  3. Just found your site while searching for you guessed it lip scrub. My
Lips have been so dry and chapped. Hope this will help me.

  4. Just made some of this as little holiday favors for my friends (I put it in little travel containers meant for lip balm)–takes no time at all, and works so well! Thanks for this!!!

  5. awesome!! may be i will add a little lemon to it to help my darker lips lighten a bit, while getting moisturized by the oil and honey and exfoliated with the sugar.
