It doesn’t take much to get kids excited about food when it’s tiny and kid-sized but looks sort of grown up. This simple snack is made with the 3 things my kids (and likely yours) will eat up in a hurry: cucumbers, cream cheese and small crackers.
These PC® Blue Menu™ Ancient Grains crackers by themselves aren’t a favorite of my boys (even though I love them!) and since I absolutely will not bend and buy them “junk” crackers, to make them a little more tasty and “fancy” according to my little ones – here’s the solution and an alternative for when peanut butter & crackers or cheese & crackers gets boring.
Grab some crackers, spread cream cheese on them, top with a cucumber and season with salt & pepper.
Or top with half a cherry tomato, sprinkle with poppy seeds and tell your 2 year old it’s a ladybug :)

I like those crackers too but yeah, my kids aren’t big fan. I love your cucumber idea, for me, because I love cucumbers. My kids, however, will not touch them. :P
Another kid-friendly cracker idea for you: Banana + PB or Apple slices + PB.
My son (3.5yr) loves them!! My daughter (1.5yr) just eats the banana and cracker separately (no PB for her yet), chews on the apples and spits them out. :P
See, and my 4 year old hates bananas! He does love apple and peanut butter though, so on a cracker is a great idea! I’ll be trying that tomorrow :)
Hi! Stopping by from MBC. Great blog!
Have a nice day!
Thanks Veronica!! :)
My son would totally be dipping these crackers into some cottage cheese!
oooh yum! I bet my boys would love that too!
What a great idea
