The new school year also brings fun, new contests and characters for our little ones to enjoy on Disney Junior. My boys and I had the chance to preview the new original Canadian series by Disney Junior called Justin Time. Justin and his imaginary pals Olive and Squidgy embark on the biggest adventures of all time, from every corner of the world! Justin’s everyday challenges set the stage as he rides rockets into space; discovers new worlds with the Vikings; and chases Cleopatra’s cat through the pyramids of Egypt! Squidgy, his faithful clay friend, is always there to help and Olive is always a friendly face in every new place.
Aidan has really enjoyed watching Justin Time during his afternoon quiet time. The series encourages using your imagination, building trust and teamwork among friends making it perfect for preschoolers and kindergarteners. Your little ones can check out the premier this Sunday, September 16th where Justin becomes the captain of a pirate ship! There’s also an episode available on the Disney Junior website here.
Justin Time is also available in hardcover! The Pancake Express tells the story of Justin and his friends trying to make it through the Canadian wilderness with their barrel of maple syrup in time for the Pancake Festival. The pictures are vivid and colorful and I loved seeing my boys able to point out and name all the characters since the characters were familiar from watching the series.

Jake & The Never Land Pirates – Pirate Week: From Monday, September 17th to Friday, September 21st from 5:10 pm ET, buckle those bootstraps as Disney Junior heads for the high seas with swashbuckling episodes marking Pirate Week. This includes a new 45-minute Jake & the Never Land Pirates special episode airing on Friday, September 21 at 5:10 pm.
