My two little boys are complete opposites in just about every possible way (except for sharing the same birthday and blond hair!) My oldest is obsessed with anything scary and loves the ghoul of Halloween. The bigger, the louder, the grosser, the scarier, the better. My youngest, though, is my little lamb. Literally. He chose a Lamb costume for Halloween this year and doesn’t like anything scary or “meany”, as he says.
But the nice thing about having boys only 2 years apart is that they still share most of the same interests and enjoy similar shows. My oldest can still get his fill of Halloween with kinder, less scary shows on Disney Junior and my youngest doesn’t run away screaming after seeing something inappropriate for little eyes. We always watch Disney Junior Online since we still refuse to buy satellite TV so this means my boys don’t want a ton of “tv” and only need a handful of shows to choose from each week. Disney Junior has always done a great job of ensuring a good mix of full episodes for them to choose from.The Halloween episodes have been fun and light and I never have to monitor what they’re watching on Disney Junior.
Since Halloween is right around the corner, we’ve been busy scouring the web for new craft ideas so I was thrilled to see (easy) Halloween craft ideas to help spookify the house without being too scary. The Disney Hanging Ghosts and Bats were simple and fun and are making our dining room chandelier just spooky enough without anyone having bad dreams.
Have you noticed all the little ones in Disney Juniors Halloween Costume Parade? Selected photos are being shown on-air between the Halloween specials and ends on the 28th. I know Feisty Frugal & Fabulous saw her little ones!!
