I’m to a point now that when I want to be in a picture with my children, I pretty much just stand in their vicinity, smile at the camera and be happy with how it turns out. Bonus points if they’re not sticking their tongues out or my head’s not cut off or blurred out.

Course there is always the option of acting like they do. They seem to stick around for these.

Annnnd, they’re done. I just keep smiling.

This one’s awesome. By the time my husband managed to push the button one was playing dead and the other started screaming, jumped off my knee and escaped. I keep smiling.

About Amanda

I'm Amanda. I started Natural Mommie in 2009 and have been turning mommies from eco-weak to eco-chic ever since! Having an intense addiction to sparkly pink strawberry flavored lipgloss and never claiming to be perfectly green I vowed to not give up my hip mama self once I became a mom and wanted to bring a little more organic into my life. My closet still isn’t full of organic cotton and bamboo, but it’s getting there!

  1. So funny! My kids have always been pretty good about getting their pictures taken (it’s faster for them to play along!). But, my son did go through an awkward fake-smile faze when he was 4ish.

I know what you mean about getting a good picture. We went on a road trip for the summer and I wanted to get a good picture we can use for our holiday cards – and of course – failed! lol

    • That’s enough to make you want to cry! One of these years we’re going to have to settle with the christmas card showing the kids laying on the ground crying, me frowning and my husband laughing ;)

  4. Oh yes! I need to post some of these pics too!
