We’ve had the spirit of Christmas floating around our house since November when we first decorated the tree! Knowing we’d be traveling for most of December on holidays we wanted to enjoy the twinkly lights a little bit before we hit the road. Once we had our decorations up, the countdown to Christmas at the farm (my mom’s not mine!) was on!
Finally after the long trek from Alberta to New Brunswick, we’re here in the east enjoying Christmas at the farm. My boys are absolutely smitten with all the attention from grandparents and great-grandparents. It also helps that there’s two big barns full of animals for them to hold, pet and help feed.
^ Making friends with the barn kitties in the 150 year old barn ^
^ New babies…I think we should bring one into the house to cuddle with! ^
^ Poor old pregnant gal is ready to pop! ^
Tonight we’ll decorate the tree, crank the Christmas music and let the rum and eggnog flow. Two weeks on holidays always flies by fast and we intend to make every moment count. All I’m wishing for this year is time. Time well spent with friends and family, quality time spent with my children, and maybe some one on one time spent with my husband during this busy time. Course we’ll be doing some last minute (Want, Need, Wear, Read) shopping too and visiting the Sears store where my grandmother worked for 30 years. Sears was always the source for gifts no matter the occasion but especially for Christmas. When we were little almost all our gifts came from Sears and they were the best ones! We’ll have a catalog and a notepad in hand and be sure to check our list twice! Until December 19th many toys are up to 40% off!
Visit the Sears facebook fan page for their Wishes of Joy contest they have running until December 15th. They’ll be drawing for a $5000 grand prize and are giving away another $5000 in instant prizes! You can even share your own wish list to win!
